Duplex strainer
Description
Unlike basket strainers and simplex strainers, duplex strainers or duplex basket strainers have 2 strainer baskets that can be used individually from each other. This makes a duplex strainer ideal for applications where the flow must not be interrupted. The continuous flow is maintained by using two separate strainers fitted with valves to direct the flow from one housing to the other. The valves are connected together to synchronize the flow of current to the secondary housing. The valve change can also be automated. A duplex strainer is available in many different sizes, micronages and materials and is therefore suitable for many applications. A duplex strainer is suitable for protecting your pumps or for removing particles from a liquid.
Basket duplex strainers are available in:
Micronages:
25µm to several millimeters.
Materials:
Stainless steel and cast iron
Connections and pressures:
150Lbs - ½" - 4"
